Buying a home is like riding a Roller Coaster
Yesterday we had a day off. we have three kids and two of them are away at camp the third one was too young to attend. So Wendy and I decided to take him and a friend for a fun day at Kings Dominion.
So we loaded the car and off to the park!
We go often but this time was different. We stayed together all the time, but The kids talked to each others and we could talk to each other and for the first time we rode some rides together.
As we rode, it hit me. How much of a metaphor roller coasters are for real estate.
You stand in line for the roller coaster- waiting to find the right home is just like the line to get on the coaster. As the excitement builds, you see others buying/ riding. It could be us next.. is it our turn..
Finally it is your turn, just like that first big hill you have found the right place to call home. Wow what a rush..
Then you go around a bend to find lots of little bumps like those during a home inspection. Up and Down..
The the big loop.. Oh No.. scares you but you find out it was just a loop and you can move past it..
Next thing you know, your are pulling into the station and the ride is over.. In Real estate, that is the closing. You are ready to move in..
Buying a home can be full of hills, loops, twists and turns. A experienced agent will help you avoid these events and will know the difference between the loops and the turns.
